Bending and Fighting Style: (Weapon + Stances) Very massive earth bending with the lack of precision. Jae can only bend large amounts of earth at a time, cannot bend smaller rocks at all, and must be physically touching the earth to bend it. Wields an immense weapon made of super-condensed rock that has two blades connected by a long handle. She cannot control the force of her bending when under deep stress.

Because of her previous style of ‘training,’ Jae is fairly slow and frequently takes damage because of it, and often uses her weapon not only for striking but for blocking and evasion as well. The limits of her style have made her much more inventive when it comes to the basic strikes that her weapon requires. Her shins and the backs of her hands are armored so that she can focus her defenses on the more vital parts of her body. She hopes to find a way to mend this dilemma of limitation during the tournament.

History (Condensed o_o):

Jae was born under a military supported family, all of the members born with the gift of bending. At a young age, her father Kaili went MIA while in the earth kingdom’s military which forced her mother Lien-Hua to leave Jae and her two older sisters for the sake of finding her husband. The eldest sister Mei-Hua used her earth bending abilities as she learned from her mother to take care of the house and her younger sisters. The middle sister Anmíng is able to use extremely precise earth bending skills to make simple arts and crafts to sell so she can make money for the family. Jae was never able to control her earth bending skills the way her other sisters were able to because their parents left after she had only learned the basics, so she didn’t really have any use around the house until after her eldest sister found a husband and had kids. Her main duties then became babysitting and running errands. Even with Jae’s oldest sister having a husband who was also in the military, the funds simply weren’t enough to compensate for the whole family’s expenses.

This caused Jae’s family to move to a small village near the outskirts of Ba Sing Se which can be viewed as the city slums. It was an area prone to bandit attacks since it wasn’t under the full protection of the city walls. Her other two sisters simply did not have the ability to fend off these bandits which forced Jae to learn how to fight using what little knowledge was taught to her before her parents went missing. Since her eldest sister could not teach her because she was so busy and her middle sister couldn’t teach her because she was impatient, Jae had to teach herself how to bend. After years of developing her own style through helping out around their small village, she was still never able to be as precise as her sisters were at earth bending, but her sheer strength made up for it. She taught herself to condense the earth so much that the things she made from it seemed to be almost unbreakable, and physically pushed her limits until she was able to move large amounts of earth, helping the village build homes and protective walls, etc. Essentially, she became somewhat of a protector of the small village, and developed a sort of mastery for bending large objects through direct touch alone. In turn, she was unable to learn how to move smaller objects, or fling rocks through the air by directing them. By seeking advice from a local blacksmith, she then figured out how to condense rock to make the strong, nearly unbreakable weapon she trained with since they moved to the village, even better than it had been before. Because of its size and weight, the double bladed weapon serves as a means of intimidation to keep bandits from attacking, and of course confronting them when needed.

Luckily for Jae, despite her lack of teachers, a young water bender named Xiu Jiang traveling the countryside manages to con her way into Jae's life. Despite a rather deceitful, though entertaining and elaborate meeting, they bond quickly and become close friends and sparring partners for practicing their bending against other bender elements.

One day, Xiu receives information on the Earth Rumble tournament. Knowing that she has trouble controlling her power, Jae decides to participate along with Xiu in hopes of finding skilled benders to observe. Unknowingly, it was secretly the fire nation’s doing to lure her away from the village in order to take hold of it as a strategic point before the invasion.

Personality: Because of the environment she grew up in, Jae has a very heightened sense of duty and fairness, and can sometimes be taken advantage of because of her morals. Despite that, she’s a caring person who seeks self improvement and a function for her lifestyle. Still, it’s a matter of approaching this giant before any of the previous is revealed… and she knows it.

Jae is very similar to me in many ways considering her looks and personality, so it was really fun to create her xD! (Thanks for the opportunity!) It's not exact or anything... Especially not her HEIGHT. (COUGH I wish, cough. xD)
